Carly is doing really good today! This morning Cathy, Jenny , and I were able to help freshen her up which made her feel a little better. She was able to get up to use the restroom and wasn’t in as much pain as yesterday. Today, she ended up changing rooms which is a blessing because the poor lady in her room had dementia and was disruptive. Hopefully, now Carly will be able to rest more as she is in a room by herself.
Carly had many visistors today and she really enjoyed everyones company! I went back this evening to visit and she is doing even better than this morning. She is able to get up a lot easier and is able to do a little more with her arms. Of course, Carly is still in pain, but she is in good spirits! She also has started to eat some solid food and has more of an appetite. Her Dr. was in today and says everything is looking good. She no longer needs an IV and he thinks that she should be able to go home tomorrow! When I left she was looking forward to going to sleep and hopefully get a good nights rest. I will be going again in the morning and keep everyone posted when she is released.
Thanks again for all the visits, messages, and calls! She really appreciates the love and support!

Carly had her surgery today and is doing good. We arrived at the hospital at 6AM and shortly after Carly was checked in for prep. Her surgery started around 8AM and she was out around 11:30AM. The surgeon told Cathy and Steve that she was smiling when she woke up and was a great patient. The surgery went really well and all the cancer is out!! They were happy that the cancer had not spread and they only had to take 3 lymph nodes out on the right side.
Carly is obviously in pain, but she is holding up really good. It’s her time to take advantage of the pain medication and try to rest as much as possible! She is in great spirits and we all have been able to have some good laughs with her.
She really appreciated the great support system that arrived with her at 6AM at the hospital ~ Mom, Harmony, Steve, Diane, Holly, Natalie, Paul, Annie and Anna. Also, thanks for all the visitors who came later ~ Richie, Michealyn, Brittany, Will, Ruth, Pat, Debbie, Dan, Tony, and Jenny!
The nurse thinks she might be able to be released on Sunday! I will be visiting her in the morning and let you all know how she is doing tomorrow! Keep up with the prayers and thoughts!!!!
Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts going out to Carly today! She definitely feels all the love!

As many of you know, I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. It is called stromal/mesenchymal neoplasm and it is at a stage III. It is very rare and there are only about 30 cases of this particular cancer in the United States. I am keeping this blog so my family and friends can stay updated on my progress. I will be taking you along my journey as I am having my treatment. During my recovery Holly will be helping out with the updates on the Blog. I am looking forward to your comments. Thanks for your support and love.
All procedes will go directly to Carly to help pay for medical expenses and help her out while she is unable to work. Thank you and it will all be appreciated!
